The 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes de Clairette Blanc offers terrific notes of lemon peel, orange blossom, honey and hints of caramelized peaches to go with a full, fleshy, textured style on the palate. Possessing moderate acidity and a big finish, there’s only 600 magnums produced.

A ripe, honeyed style, with a warm brioche frame around creamed melon, pear and persimmon flavors that have an unctuous feel, easily extending through a long, grapefruit oil?infused finish, showing cut and drive. Hard to resist now, but this will hold for a bit in the cellar.?
