Angelo Gaja’s Chardonnay 2007 Gaia & Rey is a big, lush wine, yet also shows remarkable balance considering the warm vintage. As has been the case in recent vintages here, toast level is down, and while the wine reveals plenty of ripe, varietal fruit, it also manages to retain a surprising level of freshness and verve.

These Gaia & Rey bottles were bought directly from Gaja, so 100 % provenance. We drank the 2007 in June 2014, they were perfect and will hold till at least 2020.
