The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jean is a great success, opening in the glass with notes of apple, lime, wheat toast and hazelnut. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, pure and concentrated, with a lovely line of acidity and good grip on the finish. This is notably more taut and tensile than the Maltroie this year.

This is plush and laced with peach, apple, oak spice and mineral flavors. Vibrant acidity keeps this focused as the elements play out on the long, green olive-, mineral- and spice-tinged finish.
