A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate opens with seriously earthy scents of truffles, underbrush and mossy bark with a core of freshly crushed blackcurrants, blackberries and black cherries with touches of sandalwood, rose hips and pencil lead plus a waft of cedar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with youthful, vibrant black fruit layers, with a firm, grainy frame and long, lively finish. 258 cases produced.

Flirting with perfection, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in barrel) has a Château Latour-like stature as well as thrilling notes of blackcurrants, espresso, smoked earth, and a deep, gravelly, earthy minerality. Possessing full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, perfect balance, and a monster finish, this tour de force is up with the crème de la crème in the vintage and needs to be tasted to believed. Hide bottles of 3-5 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following three decades.

Marciano's 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is pliant, richly textured and radiant, the 2015 captures all of the lushness that is so typical of the wines from this sector in St. Helena. Black cherry, chocolate, new leather, spice, menthol and licorice all infuse this sumptuous super-expressive wine. The 2015 is powerful and quite concentrated, but also impeccable in is balance. Moreover, it is another move in a very positive direction for this young estate.
