Aromas of wild berries and plums mingle with accents of rose petal, grilled meat and espresso roast in an incipiently complex bouquet, introducing the 2017 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied and broad-shouldered with a chunkier, more powerful profile than the Echezeaux, with some chewy structuring tannin asserting itself on the long, hearty finish.
