Tremblay has once again outdone herself with the 2022 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru, a brilliant wine in the making that unwinds in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries and cherries mingled with exotic spices, peonies, blood orange and licorice discreetly framed by new oak. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, this vibrant, seamless wine is, as usual, one of the least evolved in the cellar, emphasizing length, whereas the Echézeaux emphasizes breadth. It concludes with a long, resonant finish.
80% whole bunch vinification. Vibrant red purple in colour with a much more explosive nose, and a superbly racy, lifted alpine strawberry, slightly peppery fruit on the palate, good acidity, and a long graceful finish. All is there in this beautifully balanced wine. Thrilling and persistent.
