Winespectator (92)

This linear red is defined by the tightly woven tannins underlying its bilberry, currant, earth, mineral and oak spice flavors. In the end, this is a little astringent, yet powerful too, with a lingering finish.

Burghound (93)

Moderate reduction is enough to knock down the expressiveness and nuances of the earthy and ripe dark berry fruit scents. There is by contrast very good freshness and energy on the delicious and nicely detailed middle weight flavors that also culminate in a youthfully austere, serious and very firmly structured finale. This doesn't have the sheer class and weight of the Malconsorts but it's still promising.

Jasper Morris (92)

Medium deep ruby purple. Some vanilla oak evident on the nose. A few stems lurking beneath, but quite classy. Both strawberry and raspberry in the blend. Just a little soft towards the back of the palate, with the return of the vanilla.

Falstaff (94)

Hints of toast, red cherry, oak leaf and peony unite into a serene nose. That serenity continues right onto the concentrated palate whre the fruit is rounded out with a chestnut puree richness, a creamy texture and lovely, defined body. An element of earthiness is the counterpole to that oak leaf and peony lift
