This shows an impressive nose of blackberries, flowers and vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with a good core of ripe tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. Slightly short but nicely done for the vintage. Best after 2007.
With 34 hl/ha, an extremely low yield: a deep, bright ruby-purple colour. Dry bouquet, notes of red cherries and elderberries, appears quite compact, but the aromas are not yet fully developed. Surprisingly full-bodied on the palate, with a hint of mulberry, gently pithy tannins, but very good, promising support, needs to be refined during maturation and lose its grainy note. But it will also develop slowly in the bottle.
