Robert Parker (91)

The 2022 Blanc from Malartic Lagravière exudes a fresh, delicate bouquet of confit citrus, white flowers and white fruits. Moderately weighted and tense, it's round with an incisive mid-palate and an energetic, vibrant finish enhanced by boxwood notes.

James Suckling (97)

The wood toast is slightly prominent now, but it should integrate well in the next year or two. Sour cream, wet-stone minerality, limes, green gooseberries and sliced green apples. This is really textured and tense, with a full body and a lengthy finish that lingers for almost a minute

Vinous (93)

The 2022 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is brisk and finely cut, with lovely aromatics and fine balance. Varietal Sauvignon Blanc notes drive the 2022. Pear, sage, mint, white flowers and crushed rocks are all beautifully delineated. A kiss of oak frames the finish.

Jeb Dunnuck (96)

The 2022 Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is tighter and more closed compared to the second wine, yet it has remarkable purity, precision, and length. Crushed citrus, melon rind, mint, and some floral notes all define the aromatics, and it's flawlessly balanced on the palate, with solid acidity, medium to full-bodied richness, and a mineral, salty character on the finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. Based on 76% Sauvignon and 24% Sémillon, it’s up with the top whites in the vintage.

Winespectator (93)

Lemon oil, white nectarine and macadamia nut notes give this a weighty, slightly waxy feel, while verbena and salted butter add length and cut to the finish. Nicely done. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.

Jancis Robinson (16.50)

76% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Sémillon.
By the aroma, a little more oaky than some in this line-up, revealed in spice and oatmeal. But at the core is rich, pure citrus fruit. A great achievement in a hot, dry vintage. Long, creamy finish. (JH)

Decanter (94)

Herbal and aromatic on the nose, expressive and engaging. Full, round and energetic, a lovely frame and texture to this, lovely licks of lemon, grapefruit, pear, apricot, some bitter lemon rind giving accents and a gorgeous persistence, not so vibrant, but there's underlying acidity that keeps the lift and it's so well controlled and confident. Really feels very precise and delineated, polished and structured, still with some spice giving some tension but this is really lovely. Complete and characterful. A yield of 18hl/ha.
