This is showing aromas of salted almonds, flint, dried pineapples, lemon pith and chopped herbs. Tight, bright and spicy on the palate, with a medium body and sharp acidity. Precise and flinty. Sauvignon and semillon. Drink or hold.
Slightly deeper colour than most and richer fruit. Really rather sumptuous. Reverberates on the finish. Floral notes and quite broad, though there is sufficient acidity to keep it interesting. I could happily drink this soon, and without food. Seductive. Long.
The 2021 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is one of the most distinctive dry whites in Bordeaux. Intensely aromatic and tropical, the 2021 is captivating right out of the gate. Lemon confit, tangerine peel, mint, pineapple, jasmine and passionfruit give the 2021 tons of character. Bâtonnage in élevage builds texture. This is seriously impressive, not to mention quite delicious.
Always impressive, the 2021 Château Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is no exception and has a great nose of ripe grapefruit, minty herbs, and a touch of obvious minerality. Clean, medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and elegant, it’s well worth seeking out. I'd be thrilled to have bottles in the cellar, and I have no doubt this will evolve for 10-15 years. The blend is 78% Sauvignon and 22% Semillon.
