Very, very nice whisky. My first good experience with a Caperdonich turns out to be a very good one indeed. It shows that Caperdonich has a lot of potential. Who knows, this closed distillery might one day follow in the footsteps of Littlemill.
Nose
This is the definition of a fruit bomb. Orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, apple. A lovely sweetness as well, which is accompanied by freshly cut grass and cereal.
Taste
A great oily, creamy mouthfeel. More spices on the palate, mainly nutmeg and cinnamon, but also white pepper. More grapefruit, as well as some honey and apple. It also has a slight oakiness to it.
Finish
Long, fruity and spicy.
