I found the 2018 Selecció Especial pure Cariñena to be more harmonious than the blend of Vinyas Vellas, despite having similar alcohol levels at 14.5%. It has a low pH of 3.3 and 5.82 grams of tartaric acid per liter of wine, very good parameters for freshness and typical of Cariñena on slate soils from Priorat.
