Riesling Berg Seligmacher GG 2019 August Kesseler
From Lorchhausen, August Kesseler's 2019 Seligmacher Riesling GG offers a concentrated, very pure, fresh and flinty bouquet with crystalline rocks and bright fruit aromas along with lemon and herbal notes. Lean, vital and tensioned on the palate, this is a vibrantly fresh and tight dry Riesling with still some austerity but also concentrated fruit and good extract. This 2019 should be cellared for another couple of years to gain the very best of it. 13% alcohol. Tasted from AP 18 20 in January 2021.

This is not as dry as most GGs, but that doesn’t matter, because this wine is dry enough and has a sensational interplay of racy mineral acidity, vibrant peachy fruit with tons of passion-fruit, lemon-zest and herbal notes. What a breathtaking finish!
