A smoky version of Kavalan and then a single cask version at cask strength too! For the peat lovers or peatfreaks, this is like Christmas in the spring! It doesn't get much better. This fantastic whisky is reminiscent of the iconic Islay distilleries Bowmore and Laphroaig in style, but has a clear, fruity body that embodies the character of Kavalan.

• Nose: Spicy notes with some seaweed and light smoke. Medicinal notes and peat waltz out of the glass.
• Taste: The taste starts out tight and opens immediately lively. The peat clearly forms the basis of the whiskey here, but you are soon taken into flavors such as orange peel, apricot and mango.
• Finish: A wonderfully long finish in which the smokiness, together with Cherrybrandy, turns into cashew and hazelnuts. Finally, earthier notes of gentian and ginseng linger along with a subtle peatiness.

Kavalan is Taiwan's number one whisky producer and the only family-owned whisky distillery in Taiwan. Kavalan takes its name from an ancient tribe from Yilan Province, northeast Taiwan, where the distillery is also located. The pure water and fresh air make this part of the subtropical island of Taiwan the ideal environment for whiskey production. With 1.2 million visitors a year, the Kavalan Distillery is the most visited whiskey distillery in the world.
